For years we’ve had collaborative video editing solutions that allow multiple video editors to work on the same project with the footage stored on a centralized server. Problem is, those systems would cache (transfer) the video files to the editor’s hard drive and while that file was “checked out” by that editor, no one else could work with that piece of footage. This week I have the opportunity to be at the Adobe corporate offices to attend the Adobe Education Leader Institute. This is an event where Adobe Education leaders from K-12 and Higher Education assemble to learn from Adobe experts and from each other on how to use Adobe software effectively in teaching and learning. I’m looking forward to the many workshops, panels, feedback sessions and social events of the week.
This is a monumental upgrade for CS6 with over 100 new features and significant increases in performance in most apps. The Adobe Creative Cloud offers some really interesting online storing, sharing and collaborating capabilities for content creators. Continue reading
This week marks the start of the Sundance Film Festival along the Wasatch Front in Utah. It’s the largest independent cinema festival in the United States where thousands of attendees can enjoy cinematic masterpieces by independent filmmakers from around the world.
Adobe will have a presence at the festival this year. They are an official sponsor of the event, which makes perfect sense since many of the films use After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, and/or other products in the production of these cinematic projects. Adobe also has a strong presence along the Wasatch Front with its Adobe Marketing Suite division currently residing in Orem, Utah and is set to move to a new campus being built at the point of the mountain in Lehi, Utah in the future.
